【请教】关于计算递减函数的问题

and the same decreasing rate is y
Jan Feb March Apr May
x    xy   xyy    xyyy xyyyy
the sequence of x,xy,xyy,xyyy,xyyy is a geometric sequence
and y must be smaller than 100%
hence the sum must be
(x(1-y^5))/(1-y)

let sum=(x(1-y^5))/(1-y)=100
then you get the answer
