Complete to modify X220 Version II.( i7-3520m + Native USB3.0)

* Upgrade intel 6Series chipset to Intel 7 series chipset for supporting native usb3.0 mode.

* Increase a maximum speaker volume.

It is very difficult to explain a method. and BGA Machine and etc are required for this mods.

Dude, I think modding X230 BIOS toa traditional layout mapping is a much easier way :)

That is only your guess. You are stranger in bios modding. It is not easy to do a x230 keyboard mapping.

For 7 row keyboard mapping, SMSC Arc625D disassembler is requried. IDA pro does not support ARC625D Processor.

X230 motherboard does not support 7-row traditional keyboard. For 7row keyboard , should modify Embedded controller firmware.
